Understand Your Personal Tax Position with Confidence

Personal taxation affects almost every financial decision you make.

Whether you are employed, self-employed, a company director, an investor, a retiree or relocating to Cyprus, understanding your personal tax obligations is essential.

The Cyprus Tax Reform, effective from 1 January 2026, has introduced significant changes to personal income tax rates, tax-free thresholds and a wide range of new deductions and incentives for individuals and families.

At Numus, we help individuals understand the legislation, remain fully compliant and structure their affairs efficiently through practical, professional tax advice.

Modern System

A modern tax system with greater opportunities.

The Cyprus Tax Reform has modernised the personal tax system by increasing the tax-free threshold, revising the income tax bands and introducing several new deductions designed to support individuals, families and long-term investment. The new provisions apply from 1 January 2026.

From 1 January 2026, Cyprus applies progressive income tax rates ranging from 0% to 35%, with the first €22,000 of taxable income exempt from income tax.

The reform introduced new family allowances, housing deductions, green and energy efficiency incentives, and insurance and retirement reliefs, subject to the qualifying conditions.

Tax Residency

Cyprus offers one of Europe's most attractive personal tax regimes.

Individuals may qualify as Cyprus tax residents under either the 183-Day Rule or the 60-Day Rule, subject to the applicable conditions. Following the Tax Reform, the 60-day rule has been simplified by removing the requirement that an individual must not be tax resident in another jurisdiction during the same tax year.

Cyprus continues to offer one of Europe's most attractive Non-Dom regimes. Individuals who qualify for Non-Domicile status may benefit from significant tax advantages, particularly in relation to dividend and interest income, subject to the applicable provisions of the legislation.

Understanding your domicile status is essential when planning your overall tax position.
